GTM Strategy, Positioning, Distribution & Messaging

Where SafeGold started.

SafeGold lets customers buy, hold, and redeem 24K gold from as little as a few rupees, with every gram backed by physical gold sitting in an independently audited vault. That last part is what makes the product different from an ordinary fintech transaction screen: customers are trusting a screen to accurately represent a real, physical asset held on their behalf, often as their very first digital gold purchase.

SafeGold doesn't only sell through its own app. It reaches customers through more than 200 partner integrations, including PhonePe, Tanishq, Amazon Pay, BharatPe, and Axis Bank, each with its own design language and constraints. As the business scaled well past its original identity, the real GTM challenge wasn't finding distribution — SafeGold already had it, through 200+ partners. It was making sure one consistent position and trust narrative held together no matter which partner surface a customer encountered it through.

What we built.

01

Positioning Strategy

SafeGold's visual identity and brand narrative were rebuilt to project the category leader it had become, rather than the early-stage startup it once was. Every brand touchpoint, from the logo mark to the color system to how gold itself is represented visually, was redesigned to project the trust and permanence a platform holding real, physical gold on behalf of tens of millions of customers needs to earn before a customer ever opens the app.

02

Distribution Strategy

We treated SafeGold's 200+ partner integrations — PhonePe, Tanishq, Amazon Pay, BharatPe, Axis Bank — as the primary GTM channel, not a secondary one. That meant designing the buying experience itself to be partner-embeddable from the start: the confirmation screen, the vault balance view, and the redemption journey all had to work identically whether presented as SafeGold's own app or embedded inside a partner's product with its own visual identity.

03

Messaging Consistency Across Channels

Distribution breadth is only an advantage if the positioning survives it. We carried the same trust cues — gold weight purchased, the rate it was bought at, the updated vault balance, always laid out so it reads at a glance — across every one of the 200+ partner surfaces, so the brand promise never diluted depending on which partner a customer happened to buy through.

Where SafeGold landed.

SafeGold has grown into India's largest digital gold platform, serving more than 60 million customers and reporting approximately $600M in annual revenue. The platform now processes purchases starting from as little as ₹1, backed by physical 24K gold held under independent custody with Vistra ITCL.

The rebuilt brand and platform architecture have scaled alongside SafeGold's distribution strategy, which now spans more than 200 partner integrations across banking, payments, and jewellery retail — from Tanishq to PhonePe to Amazon Pay — each surfacing the same core buying experience within its own product context.
