The challenge

Tradepal's premise is simple to say and hard to build: give any trader an AI co-pilot that can look at a chart, from any charting platform, and instantly return a forecast, a sentiment read, and a price target, without asking them to change where or how they already trade. That constraint ruled out the easy path. Tradepal couldn't be another walled-garden platform competing for screen time; it had to work alongside whatever charting tool a trader already had open, read a live chart or an uploaded screenshot with equal confidence, and do all of this without ever executing a trade itself. The entire product is built around judgment support, not automation, which meant the AI had to earn a trader's trust through transparency, not a black-box signal.

That constraint shaped a genuinely hard AI problem underneath the product: teaching a model to read a chart the way an experienced trader does, spotting support and resistance, trend strength, and momentum, then translating that read into clear bull, base, and bear scenarios with real confidence scores, fast enough to feel instant rather than like a batch report.

What we built

Design. A trading tool that traders actually keep open needs to disappear into their existing workflow rather than compete with it. We designed Tradepal's interface to sit comfortably alongside a trader's real charting setup, dense with signal, forecasts, sentiment, price cones, but never cluttered, since the product lives on-screen during active trading, not just before or after it.

Engineering. Universal chart support was the hardest engineering constraint on the project: Tradepal needed to analyze a chart from effectively any charting platform, either live on-screen or from an uploaded screenshot, and return results in seconds. We built the underlying pipeline to handle that variability reliably, alongside the cross-platform foundation that lets Tradepal run as a native macOS and Windows app that stays accessible on-screen, or directly in the browser for traders who'd rather not install anything.

AI. We built the blended AI ensemble at the core of Tradepal's forecasts, combining chart-pattern recognition with real-time sentiment signals pulled from professional trader sources and financial news. The model outputs intraday forecasts for ranges, reversals, and volatility, forward price cone projections, and early breakout signals from order flow and momentum shifts, all scored with real confidence levels rather than a single opaque signal.

Where it landed

Tradepal launched publicly as an AI trading co-pilot purpose-built for discretionary and systematic traders, and was ranked #2 of 13 launches on its debut day on What Launched Today. The product now runs across macOS, Windows, and the web, giving traders universal chart support, real-time sentiment tracking, price cone projections, and breakout signals in one connected experience, all without ever placing a trade on the user's behalf.

Because the underlying AI ensemble and cross-platform foundation were built to extend from day one, Tradepal has been able to keep shipping new signal types and chart integrations on top of the same core system rather than rebuilding it with each release.
