Glossary
The technical work of connecting enterprise resource planning and customer relationship management systems so operational and customer data stay synchronized, instead of each team working from its own disconnected copy.
Why It Matters
Sales, finance, and operations teams often work from separate systems that were never designed to talk to each other — a sale closed in the CRM doesn't automatically update inventory or trigger fulfillment in the ERP unless something explicitly connects them. That gap is where manual reconciliation work, and the errors that come with it, tend to accumulate.
This is part of our Connected Operations capability — the work that removes manual reconciliation between systems that were never designed to talk to each other.

Is this a one-time integration project or ongoing work?
Both — the initial integration is a defined project, but keeping it reliable as both systems get upgraded, reconfigured, or extended over time is ongoing maintenance, not a set-and-forget task.
What breaks most often in ERP/CRM integrations?
Schema changes on either side — a field renamed or restructured in an upgrade — are the most common source of integration breakage, which is why well-built integrations include monitoring, not just the initial data mapping.
